ABOUT BOWIE MAE

Bowie Mae was created by Erin Ainsley Neary from a longtime love of flower pressing and the desire to preserve memories through floral art and photography.

In early 2018, Erin created her first large-scale flower press with her husband, and never looked back. She currently has 8 handmade flower presses in rotation.

In 2019, Erin saw a need to resolve the problem of floral waste at weddings. In collaboration with friend and local wedding planner, Nicole, of Created Lovely Events, began The Flower Ripple offering floral donation services, combined with flower pressing, to Nicole’s brides so they could have a forever keepsake of their bridal bouquets and know that the remainder of their florals were being well loved through the deserving community.

Erin’s love of flower preservation comes from a long line of flower pressing in her family, starting with her great grandmother, who passed the hobby down and created a deep sense of nostalgia in the women who came after. Bowie Mae (named after her 2 kids - Bowen + Isla Mae) was created to honour that tradition and spread positivity and beauty through preserved memories and giving back.
